The Krasnoff Quality Management Institute is a sophisticated research, education, program evaluation & development, and data management center that has been created to advance quality in health care and related services. It was established by a generous grant from Abraham Krasnoff to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge learned in the academic setting and the realities of applying quality management methods in today’s health care environment.
The Institute, under the leadership of Yosef D. Dlugacz, PhD, Senior Vice President and Chief of Clinical Quality, Education and Research, North Shore-LIJ Health System, is comprised of a group of highly qualified analysts, clinicians, educators, and researchers, including PhDs, MDs, RNs, a project manager and several senior analysts with strong skills and knowledge in database application development as well as statistics. Offering decades of experience in improving organizational processes and clinical outcomes, the Institute is an acknowledged leader in integrating quality management into every level of an organization.
