Our History

In 2004, Julienne and Abraham Krasnoff established a center for advanced studies in quality, the Krasnoff Quality Management Institute.

Julienne and Abraham KrasnoffThe late Abe Krasnoff, a supporter of quality management and life trustee on the board at North Shore-LIJ, funded the Institute to continue the nationally and internationally recognized work of Dr. Dlugacz and his team. This important work involved addressing the educational and research needs to promote quality and patient safety and to address the challenges of the evolving health care environment. Yosef D. Dlugacz, PhD, Senior Vice President of Quality Management for North Shore-LIJ Health System, was named as director.

The diverse and experienced team at the Krasnoff Quality Management Institute is composed of highly skilled physicians, nurses, analysts, statisticians, educators and researchers.

Our expert team, led by Dr. Yosef Dlugacz, has decades of experience educating professionals and the community about the importance of integrating quality management methods into the delivery of care to improve health outcomes.
