Vice President of Informatics and Quality
With more than 20 years of experience with decision support and business intelligence solutions, Ms. De Geronimo develops and implements creative solutions to complex problems and transforms data into measures that end-users can easily monitor and interpret. As Vice President of the Krasnoff Quality Management Institute, she supports Dr. Yosef Dlugacz in defining and implementing new business initiatives for Northwell Health (previously North Shore-LIJ Health System) and external clients. She is also responsible for managing and overseeing the analytic staff of the Institute who develop and implement information resources for the diverse Health System and external client priorities.
Ms. De Geronimo was instrumental in the development and management of the Quality Dashboard for executive leadership of the Health System. This and other web-based clinical applications, including clinical departmental web sites, have helped to standardize data collection and analytic activities. She is involved in the development and retrieval of data from Inpatient and Outpatient Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Systems, including interfacing with different electronic data sources and merging data into one centralized data warehouse.
She has specialized training in Oracle and uses the latest technology (Crystal Reports, Java, SAS, SPSS) to facilitate reports and statistical analysis, and is responsible for the development and dissemination of dashboards and report cards. In addition to supervising the research analyst team responsible for statistical analysis and database development, her responsibilities include overseeing the collection of data from different sources (inpatient, outpatient, ED, ICU, infection, etc.) for storage in a data warehouse.
Ms. De Geronimo has developed educational curricula for healthcare professionals in data analysis and practical applications.
She received her master’s degree in computer science from the University of Milan, Italy, graduating with honors.
